Hired Help?

Updated: Jun 2

Can I have a successful wedding without hiring someone to help? We hear it all the time. My mom*grandmother*aunt*sister*cousin*friend* is going to help coordinate the wedding day!

Please keep in mind that these special people love you and want to help (they will all offer to help, especially if they planned their own wedding) but they do not want to feel like staff on your wedding day. You want your loved ones to enjoy the day.

It is common for couples write off hiring a wedding coordinator because they feel it’s a luxury they simply can’t afford.  There are so many parts to planning a wedding and every couple is different.  Some couples want to plan the whole wedding themselves, but they do not want to do the heavy lifting the day of the wedding.  For example, Bride has 3 bins of perfectly procured Pinterest wedding décor.  All this décor needs to be set up in the wedding venue.  She is getting hair and make-up done and having mimosas and visiting with her family and bridesmaids.  She does not have time to set up this décor herself and she did not tell anyone how she wanted it set up.  Who does she ask to do it and how long will it take to explain how she wants it to look?

Planning a wedding can be an exciting adventure, but it can also be overwhelming and stressful. On the wedding day, couples should be focused on celebrating their wedding, not dealing with logistics and troubleshooting.

A wedding coordinator acts as a point person, coordinating all the moving parts and ensuring everything runs smoothly. From managing vendor setup to resolving unexpected issues, they provide a stress-free experience for the couple and their families.
